Jacob Christopher Mundwiler, the grandson of Swiss immigrant Johan Jacob Mundwiler, was born in Ohio on March 11, 1840 and served in the 49th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War.
Jacob Christopher married Alice Virginia Nead, the daughter of British immigrant John Nead on August 29, 1864.
Jacob and Alice eventually moved from Ohio to Minnesota.
