Mildred Crane Mundwiler married Erven Schneider after the death of her husband, Ralph Eugene in 1919. Erven, Mildred and Mildred's three young children moved from Ortonville to Henderson, Minnesota soon after their marriage.
Erven operated what Dad referred to as a "Gas Station", presumably in Henderson, beginning in the 1920's. From the photographs, we can see that he sold Skelly gasoline, along with sandwiches, chewing tobacco and Grain Belt Feeds. One photograph hints that the station must have included an automobile repair garage. Although Erven died in 1961, Mildred did not sell the station until 1970.
Donald and Russell, along with their young Uncle Kyle Crane, worked at the family business.
