Mary Sophie's birth father was killed in an Indian raid on their western bound wagon train. Thosten Olson  was a single man who took care of the family and later married Mary's mother.

Mary Mundwiler rites tomorrow

BANNING - Services for Mrs. Mary Sophie Mundwiler, 90, of 49320 Bonita, Cabazon, will be at 10 a.m., tomorrow in Woods's Mortuary. Dr. E. L. Jones of the Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park, San Fernando. A native of South Dakota, Mrs. Mundwiler was a Cabazon resident eight years. She died Monday at Patay's Nursing Home, Cherry Valley. Surviving are Mrs. Mundwiler's two daughters, Mrs. Mae Schlegel of Palm Springs and Mrs. Etta Hublou of South Dakota; two sons, Paul of Los Angeles and Glen of Montana, 16 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren.
